Federation of Leaders in Special Education (FLSE)

DCSF is supporting the setting up of a new association for leaders in special education aimed at giving special education leaders a voice in government consultations and involving leaders involved in special education more systematically in shaping national policy and strategy.

The London Regional Partnership was promoting the development of a London region federation, working with a small group of leaders to get the new organisation up and running.

Draft aims and membership of the London federation were prepared and a registration facility was been set up through the National College for School Leadership website.

Development of London FLSE has been put on hold with the closure of the London Regional Partnership but theLondon region continues to be represented on the national FLSE steering group.
